Math 1LS3
I think this course was very easy. We started at a very basic level (probably grade 9 math) with the linear equation and moved up from there. The last unit, integration, was the only major new thing but it wasn't too bad.
Your mark was the better of :
4 tests, lowest...

Integration ye we didnt cover that. Ye i got an 82 in grade 12 calculus but its because of the vectors unit and calculus at my school was pretty hard because of the teachers there. I hear people had issues with the one hour time, is one hour sufficient to finish the test?

If you know your stuff, 1 hour is enough. But if you get stuck, you might run out of time.

Ok, thanks a lot for the info. As well, I read on this thread that the TA is conducted by the prof, Lovric himself, is that true?

That's from the course review by one of the members LOL

I think those were the averages for second semester. When I took the course in first semester the averages were crazy high. I really don't know what happened second semester.

Extremely easy. You just have to make a y=x line and draw lines up to a curve and then away. It's hard to explain but very simple to do.

I think it's because all the people who DON'T like math like to postpone it as much as possible, and so, they take it in 2nd semester. That would make the most sense anyway.

I personally used the textbook for practice questions and it also explained the concepts if you didn't quite understand them in lecture. Make sure you by the CCW though since it has practice tests and additional problems.
p.s. I'm currently selling my textbook and CCW so pm if you're interested.
