So I was reading today and learned that 20% of the effort and time spent on studying yields 80% of the results we create in academic times. So this is all about how we play the game and have effective study skills. so what is that students do 1/5 of their studying time that is serving them so well?? Please contribute your tricks!

Procrastination eats time like a fat man eats a cheeseburger: way too often, and usually to no real useful outcome.

80/20 rule is garbage/misleading.

I am not saying I am looking for easy way out to success in school, but this 80/20 seems to be universal.

1. 80% of wealth in UK was owned by 20% of pop'n.
2. It was also consistent with the survey on world wealth.
3. 20% stockpiles in warehouse takes up 80% space.
and so on..

Study effectively: don't do every problem the night before a test, do only enough that you understand how to complete the question; generally, big picture trumps the small one; do at least a bit of work instead of reading the book and claiming you're the next Einstein.

aka Stop being shitty.

You're envoking numerology to get your point across and relating wealth statistics to apply to study habits? *sigh*

You provide two example areas... that doesn't exactly make it universal.

Incoming numerology!

EDIT: To answer your thread's question, I pretty much live in the library and (quite literally) chant mnemonic incantations to myself. So, just immerse yourself in the subject and, if you're willing, become its disciple.

It works well for me.

dude don't go by numbers.. they don't help you in any way.. they only influence you.. the real difference in your grades is made by you and you only..

just make studying and marks the topmost priority over the next 8 months... and give 100%
