Biology 2A03
Hi Everyone!

I am going into Honours Life Sci this fall. To upper years: do you feel like this course is important if I am considering med school? I've read some not so great reviews about the course and am kind of weary. Any advice would be great! Thanks

I'm pretty sure you don't need this course for med school. If you're worried you'll be missing out on important content for the MCAT, I'm sure your MCAT prep books will cover the information in enough detail for the test. I've heard some bad things about that course as well :'(.

You're going to learn this stuff again in medical school anyway but this course was probably the best bio course I took at Mac. I loved the content but unfortunately the grade you get in this course really depends on your lab TA as they mark your lab reports.

Just take it if you're interested, not if you just need it for med school, no med school in Canada (or at least the ones I've researched) require you to take a specific physio course.

And for MCAT, Angus is right, you can just read the physio stuff in the prep books.

the tests in this course are fine. lab reports will annoy you, but they are good for exposin u to lab writing.
