And I don't plan on using it for big purchases. I just want to establish some credit. Now I've got a credit card plus my line of credit.

you can get the visa to automatically pay for itself from your chequing account. Its a MISSION(think OSAP) to set this up, but it will work. Then you don't need to do all those transfers online to pay off your credit card, it does it automatically. |

Doesn't sound like it's worth the effort to set it up. I dunno, I can't imagine forgetting to pay something that's so important. xD Plus, yay for online banking!

Oh...yeah. That only takes a few clicks in my online banking. I used to have that set up, and I turned it off.

I personally would rather pay it off manually. It's nice to see how much I'm spending and knowing for sure that the payment is made.

I feel the same way when it comes to cheques. I dunno how people have the guts to put it in an envelope and drop it in a machine. It's the only time I go up to a teller. XD

How is it hard? lol
When I signed up for my credit card I chose the option so that it automatically comes out of my chequing account, and that was that. (I guess if your chequing account and credit card are from the same bank its easier). |

I always check my bank balance online to keep track of my finances (income and expenses). In fact, I save all my receipts for each month and staple them together to make sure that the credit card statement I get is actually what I swiped for. |

Why don't you just use online payment? It's secure on your home connection and it's even secure if you do it at school as long as you use VPN to encrypt the data. |

Dunno. Alls I know is that if I ever put in a cheque I got from Tim Hortons/any other job I worked and it got lost, that woulda been a whole paycheck I lost 'cause all my managers have been douchebags on major powertrips.
I just don't trust it.
Kinda like how my grandma sent me 20 pounds from England but some postal worker opened my mail and stole it. (Seriously).

Online payment for a cheque or for my credit card? If it's for my CC, then yea, that was the plan. I'm all about online banking.
