- Make note of all of the key concepts you've covered in lectures (think weekly themes on your syllabus, chapter titles, etc.) and make sure you understand them all.
- Within those key concepts, make note of all of the key points you guys have discussed. How they relate to each other, how they differ from each other, how it relates to contemporary society, etc.
- Essays are usually comparison (as in how two concepts are related, how one concept is better than the other, how one concept caused the other, etc.) OR opinions (what your personal view on a certain concept is). So go through the concepts and think of possible questions you could be asked and your views on them as well as pair concepts which could be linked together and think of the similarities and differences in case you are required to compare and contrast.
- Always remember the essay elements, clear thesis, convincing examples, etc... and always be prepared to ask yourself "So what?" at the end, what does your whole argument mean? Why is it relevant?
