What exactly do you give a guy for valentines? It really couldn't be holiday specific(unlike the gooey heart stuff/flowers/chocolate/whatever you get girls)...so it would just be a normal gift that you could get him anytime?
Might as well just get him stuff when I find something cool for him..unless I buy it and save it...

Lmao, well other than chocolate (which I always give xD ), umm candless, once I did cologne, usually some massage oil type thing/body chocolate, a little sumfin from la senza, maybe a watch or something, etc.
and yeah, I agree. Vday is just a day where that stuff's sort of expected, though, so one might feel sad/disappointed if they didn't get even some chocolates xD

Ah right. I just have no idea...I feel like this is one holiday where the guy gets it easy. But her flowers, chocolate, done.
I think if I bought him stuff like that he'd just look at me funny
I like the massage oils idea though!
And techy stuff is always good- just feels like it supposed to be a "romantic" present-which in itself just generally feels like something you give a girl..not a guy.

Does it count as a gift if you give it normally anyway...?

I actually just laughed out loud really hard when I read this... I was thinking the same thing but wasn't gonna say it!

Lmao, I know, eh?
and honestly, I don't really like flowers as gifts, they just die anyway. I'd rather get a fake one
And yeah, it doesn't really seem romantical-y but I don't care, better than nothing.
I always wanna give a teddy bear, but the guy would be like "ew" and give it to his dog to chew up, most likely. xD
and yeah the massage oil thing is still romantic but not something you'd do everyday.
I also forgot to mention like a special vday scavenger hunt type thing, where you leave notes around the house that leave clues and lead him to wherever.
But that only works if you live together. D:
and LOL for the mouth thing, that's why I added chocolate body paint.
That's not something you get everyday. xD

Love this. I'm stealing your ideas 0_o
But for the future.
Long distance relationship sucks big ball sacks sometimes.

Which is why I agree with what Japan does where they have Valentine's day and White day. On one of the days it's strictly guys giving to girls, and on the other it's strictly girls giving to guys. It makes good sense to me.

Could just take the idea to the Internet.
Use various sites as "clues".
You can even do something like uploading a personal picture of yourself. Using the link output, form various keywords that he need to decipher in order to find your picture...

Giving your boyfriend compliments should be done regularly.

You could always do something like:
i) Zip up a picture. Putting a password lock on it that is insanely long and complicated.
ii) Upload the Zip file to a File Hosting Site. They will give you a output like this...
http://www.mediafire.com/?kqlm0ngpewuzn6g
Which is too long, so you go to TinyURL to have it shorten to...
http://tinyurl.com/49b7tk8
iii) Use 49b7tk8 as a puzzle and form clues. So form a clue so that he will guess the number 4.
iv) Send him http://tinyurl.com/ and the really long ass password for the Zip file. Tell him he need, through clues, find the 7 characters needed to get to the file.
You can make the first picture easy. Like (if your anniversary is April), what is the month of our anniversary?
The ZIP file of the first picture can also contain clues to the next set of picture (hopefully sexier) and it goes on from there.
Promptly delete the file being hosted after he found it.
