It's basically a straight forward anatomy course. You learn about all the parts of the body - their names, functions, and their location. There's quite a bit of memorization, but it's one of the most useful courses you will take in university. If you've taken grade 12 biology or exercise science, a lot of it will seem like review. Eg. Anatomy of the heart - left ventricle aorta, etc. Processes of the Femur, greater trochanter, lesser trochanter, etc. The hamstrings including semimemrinosus, semitendinosus, etc. The labs are some of the most interesting I've ever taken. You get to look at cadavers!

It's the same course. 1A03 is only for Kin Students while 1Y03 is available to other students. But it's the same material. You'll be in the same class.

I wonder why they feel the need to have... 'separate' classes when they're the same. Waste of... I would say paper, but hmm, it's a waste of something lol.

It could be the same thing as cross-listed courses. Maybe two different departments require the course to graduate. But usually the two courses would be in different departments. So yeah, I have no idea why...

Kin 1Y03 is supposed to be for MedRadSci...much like a 'cross-listed' course.
It is however, open to other students in other faculties.
The reason they have a 1A03 at all is to guarantee Kin students get their spot.
-----------------------------
EDIT: (The rest is outdated info)
They also put 1A03 in a slightly smaller classroom that holds about 200 students, while 1Y03 admits something like 500.
The words above were slightly misleading. You're not in 'the same class' as there are different lecture sessions for 1A and 1Y. However they notify you on the first day, that they are interchangable...if you miss a 1A lecture you could attend the 1Y, and vice versa. The same prof teaches both, but they are in different rooms, at different times.
EDIT: I stand corrected. This year, in their infinite wisdom, they put the courses at the same time??? Maybe the profs complained about having to teach two sets of the same lectures...but that is how they did it in the past.
