I was wondering if I should even bother trying to try and transfer from Social Sciences to Commerce in August before school starts. I've accepted the fact that it would be very hard to do so but a few things are making this tempting.

1. is the rescinded offers that Mac has sent out which could mean there could be spots open but i'm not really sure and
2. On Mugsi the Commerce program still has spots which is really confusing because I thought it was full.

So basically my question is should I try and transfer now or leave it until March?

It can't hurt to try. Contact Lori Hill (the first-year commerce academic advisor) at [email protected] or call her at x27928 to ask about any spots available, and if you can't switch in before Sept, ask what courses you should take and how you would go about switching for second year.

I would try now. If not , take as many compulsory commerce classes as possible including math courses.

As said before, it definitely couldn't hurt. Plus a transfer now should be much more feasible than a transfer after the year begins.
