I'd recommend calling the Registrar's Office at 905.525.4600 just to ask why that happened and if accepting the "alternate" would result in any unforeseen consequences.
I think it should be fine though; may have just been a technical error if the alternate and the other offer are both the same thing.

It's general/overall that they care about. Get all the C's and D's you want.... As long as your overall is still in the A's

i dont understand lol, can you elaborate?

Like im giving A levels, and also Grade 12, so ill have a Grade 12 report card wih most probably 90%, but in my conditional offer it says I'll need a B or above. So what if i dont get a B and get a C or D. and my school report card has a 90% total on it?
thanks

If you have 90% overall on your report card, you're in. If you have all 79's, and 1 100, you will still get in because your average is above the requirement, even if the majority of your marks are not B . My key point: It's only your overall they care about.

Hey

I was wondering if mac looks at specific courses before making an offer?
for ex: i know they will look at the prerequisites + top marks to come up with the overall average...and for whatever u apply, English is mandatory....
So if someone has English in the second semester, do those ppl get an offer after their mid-terms have been submitted??

all the people i know who have received an offer from mac are those who have completed Eng in first semester....... does it work this way ??? O_O

also, i applied for life sci ... in 2nd sem, i have calculus, chem, eng and food nutrition...i dropped chem b/c i couldnt keep up with the course work , so i will take it in summer school + chem isn't directly required for life sci...So will this affect my admission to Mcmaster???

hello
i applied to 2 programs at mac and got an offer of admissions to one of them but i'm still waiting on the second one. to apply for res, i need my student number and barcode, whcih i have from my first offer of admission. so let's say i apply for res now, before i hear back from my second program...does that mean i'm accepting my first program?
can i apply for res without accepting the offer of admission?
will my studnet number/barcode change should i get accepted to the second program i applied for?
if i apply now, can i take out my application for res if i end up choosing a different university altogether (before may 28)?

thanks!

If your average is high enough to give you a guaranteed status (78%), then you have until May 28th at 4pm to apply AND pay your deposit and you will still get residence.

I believe if you apply and don't pay the deposit on time you get removed from the guaranteed list and are put on the end of the waiting list. You can probably request to be removed from both lists but if you paid your deposit then you most likely lose it (Going by the definition of a deposit).

As for your first question, I can't really answer it definitively but I believe that you get the same student number and barcode... But I'm not entirely sure.
