Okay so I'm a first year in humanities and planning to get into cog sci Lang next year the problem is I found out I didn't make the cut off gpa (5.0) for a prereq which is ling 1aa3 this term but got a really high gpa for psych which is also a prereq. I also have to take the other ling course 1a03 and going to work really hard to do good.I'm really worried, what should I do? Should I retake ling 1aa3?

Do the admissions criteria specify you need at least a 5 in each of the prereq courses? If so, then yes you need to re-take it, regardless of what your grades in the other prerequisite courses are. If you are unsure, you should talk to an academic advisor, because it would be dumb to bank your future on a guess or what random people on the internet are telling you.

However, you should first consider the reasons for your low grade and whether or not the cognitive science of language program is really the best program for you.
