For the purpose of a TFSA, I don't think it classifies under "assets" since it doesn't affect your "federal income-tested benefits" (CPP, OAS, EI) so I'd assume OSAP would fall along the same line.

I'm pretty sure there is a part in OSAP where you have to state the amount of money in your bank and since the tax free savings account is a bank account, you would have to add that number in as well.

That's odd. I remember having to put that in last year. What happens if you don't work, don't have a car and are independent but have a million dollars in your bank account?

That's what happened to someone I knew last year. No income, but a decent amount in the bank account and they still qualified for a lot of OSAP funding.

a lot of ppl are from another country. dont keep a lot of assets in canada. need money - then transfer. therefore they are eligible for a lot of osap.

It's not working for me either, both in Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Harumph!

Actually I'm nearly done but I need to check some things so I can't submit yet...that's so strange that so many people are having technical problems!

How are you managing to get it to work? Share some advice.

Honestly I wasn't/am not doing anything special...Right now I'm using Firefox 3.0.19 (if the version number makes ANY difference whatsoever) on a PC with Microsoft XP. And I never had any problems from the beginning of the application...I didn't even clear cache/cookies/history/anything.
Are people using Vista..? I'm not much of a tech geek or anything, but maybe there is a bug with that right now that OSAP needs to fix ASAP.
