They were Sketchers and another pair that didn't have a name but was quite sturdy.
I had to buy Sorels.
I'd rather put the same amount of money toward completely waterproof boots than ever buy UGGs.
I get cold too easily.

Personally I have a pair of insulated neoprene boots (the same stuff wetsuits are made from) they're always the perfect temperature year round and 100% water proof. I originally bought them for fieldwork in a marsh 2 years ago and they've never let me down. They are also rather flexible and fit the form of my leg better than most boots which is nice since snow won't slip in the top. The best part is they were only $10 bucks, yet are freaking invincible.
edit: I approve of sorell though. They are the only company to make a decent slim size 14 mens shoe.

You can at least dust off the snow as soon as it falls on you, prevents it from melting and soaking your clothes when you go inside. But rain is merciless and cruel. Especially cold, torrential winter rain >|

Or finish the test and then come.. It'll be more of a drop-in thing. It usually is because of all the different schedules. So whoever can come at the beginning will do so, and anyone else can just drop by at any time after that =].

How is this thread so boring? You'd think people bitching for 20 pages would be funny.

How are you still posting on MacInsiders? You'd think people bitching at you on every thread would be a big hint to gtfo.

I secretly hope that one day, we're going to find out that Blu/Arrogant/Joe is Chad's secret alt account.

Has anyone noticed that the concrete in the quad is uneven? I know it's really not a big deal and that's just nature, but it really sucks when it's raining and there are huge crowds of people so you can't really walk in a straight line, and you have to dodge around people making you unable to avoid the spot where it's uneven and therefore step in PUDDLES. Or run across when you're running late and splashing everywhere.

You're in first year, so you wouldn't remember how it was before they fixed it. They had square stones, and a lot of them weren't secure. On a good weather day, the worst that could happen is you trip and go flying by stepping/tripping on an uneven, moveable stone. On a rainy day, it was pretty common to step on one and splash yourself (or someone else) with water from the stone flying up (kind of like a seesaw type thing). The ground is probably just uneven there, which is why the concrete is too. It was pretty bad though...my friend wanted to set up a videocamera there on a rainy day, to catch everyone who got splashed or tripped
Uneven concrete>>>sketchy slabs of rock
