I meant directly in the seat next to you in a lecture hall. It's standard test procedure to have people sit every other seat.

haha true, but still...cheers sounds a little phony to me and doesn't seem at all sincere anymore, especially since it's being used way too much on avenue now.

I find a lot of female profs and TAs doing this, and now it's spreading to students as well and pissing me off all the more. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOOD OLE "Thanks" OR "Regards" OR SOMETHING ELSE THAT'S NOT THE BRITISH "Cheers".
Tell me I'm not the only one... o.o

I know who you're talking aboutttt .. Haha I wasn't used to it at all last year.. Just never heard it really, until last year with all the Chem profs posting it as a greeting on the discussion boards.. Now, it just seems like another "thank you" just a little less formal/more friendly..

I think they're a bit too....
umm...
they remind me of Steve Irwin too much lol.
Maybe to a girl, a guy (surfer dude) might sound hot with an aussie accent.
But for me, nothing beats a brit. It sounds so elegant, and proper, and sexy at the same time.

This is kinda hypocritical now because i'm not in first year, but when i was i would always be annoyed when i was in a rush and needed to get food and the person in front of me would pay cash (instead of the meal card) and would take forever fiddling with the change.
Please just let me go ahead of you and quickly swipe this magic card

If that's who I think it is, her accent is epic.
Annoying thing: People sending out e-mails on Avenue to the WHOLE CLASS because they missed one lecture. I mean, I'm not a Humanities student, but even I can find someone in my CMST class to borrow notes from, surely you guys can too.

Lol. I got 4 "send-to-all" e-mails for both Bio 1A03 and Chem 1A03 from people looking for their lab partners. That's 1800-ish Chem students and 2100-ish Bio students who got the e-mail.
Not that I have anything against it. It's a good, desperate act.

Truesay. Luckily, I don't really check my Avenue mail.

^ that happened to me in MDCL 1110 the other day, but they used alternate tests so it didn't really matter.

Agreed about the Mills nightclub comment.. Currently sitting on Mills 3rd floor, can't concentrate at all because of the loud conversations/phone calls going on all around me. When did people forget that this is a library?
