WOOOT SOCSCIII!

Annnd haha haha at all other pretenders to our throne! No offence but science and especially commerce were in no way close to our class of Repping Blitzkreig Awesomeness! Our Planners stated from the day one that we will be the best faculty come Sunday and every single rep in our team did every bloody extra thing they could to Win this!

Frat House! We decorated our KTH Common Area with Balloons, Flags, Banners and other stuff; Even random Maroon/IRC Reps told us they love it!

Banner! Our Reps worked for three straight days to Complete this years banner(which won I think)

Pj Parade! We Won Pj Parade officially and deservedly! Not only were we in full spirit on a consistent level(Health Sci's were loud as well but faded after apparently knocking a Golf Cart over with their vocals)

Faculty Day! We got all the frosh into one unified mob that cheered their hearts out and also destroyed Kin in a water attack. At the same day we had a commerce rep coming up claiming he himself didn't think his faculties Wday was all that good!

Faculty Night! We Had two Bands and a DJ! Gladiator Rings, Volleyball but Most of ALL A bloody massive Foam Machine; Can you guys seriously match that? While the rest of the faculties went to a club or a conservation area to talk about their feelings.

Spirit! Engineers and Health Sci had commendable spirit as well but Our Reps were there at every single event in big numbers! For example Even at Shinerama Shineoff and the football game we were there as the sole faculty! At every event we didn't cheer because "oh well a rep has to cheer"; We cheered because we wanted to be the loudest! Oh and I blew my horn for hours like an utter maniac

Pranks! We totally had awesome pranks against HealthSci, Science and Engineers. They were ingenius and carefully planned, we even did them at 2am even though we were dead tired! Plus people worked on making/painting them for hours every day

The only problem was all Healthsci's never saw them cause the cleaning ladies came at 4am.

Science saw it and over reacted to what was a fun thing and vandalized our Posters with slightly offensive taunts, that was err...the best they could come up with :S

Engineers took it in good sport as expected!

Shinerama: This is where we left everyone in the dust! The Commie up here who wanted to win doesn't realize that you actually have to go out there and work for a good cause to win points! We collected over $5000 which was wayyyy over the next faculty. And that was expected since we hustled the whole week every single one of us and I personally collected money for over 14 hours the whole week!

Airbands: We once again practiced since day one! Came in second only because we got demerits for getting onto the stage "late"!

The point I am trying to make here is that Our Faculty Reps were highly motivated and committed from day one to being the very best. We put our hearts into every single event and hence not only did we win in doing so we also put out a good show for our first years! We won or came second in every single event; you guys(science, commies) should atleast try winning something for a change and showing up to every single event with maxxxximum spirit before having any hopes of winning

Yeah Brandon Hall was like woaaahh Sooo many people making soo much noise! They did probably deserve to win even though a few rez reps were saying that they only won because they are the biggest Rez. Still! They were always the loudest no matter where I saw them!

you guys(science, commies) should atleast try winning something for a change
Firstly, congratulations

Secondly, I've never caught wind of any pranks, so it really probably wasn't noticed by many people at all, and probably ignored by many others... the few who may have responded were probably just having a knee-jerk reaction.

Lastly, Science has a long tradition of winning events. Perhaps we didn't win as many this year, but saying "try winning something for a change" is an understatement. We have traditionally be especially good at airbands and bedracers (especially over the past two years).

Again, congrats! It was a great welcome week!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Science won the faculty cup last year (it could have been the year before... i forget which year we had that trophy in the office).

First of Thanks alot!

lol that came of as mean! I was saying that Science had not that big a chance of winning if they weren't competing for the first or second spot in all events since the start or if their reps weren't AS comparitively visible as ours! Winning Events are probably 50% inspiration/ideas and 50% hardwork and practice imo....I think we had that 50% hardwork for every single event! I was merely suggesting you guys to reconsider(if they were reps) if you had that 50% in place! Hence I said "no offence"

Also,
I think the prank reaction was probably conducted by the bigwigs in the Science(whoever they might be).

I doubt that, being one of those "bigwigs" myself. I heard nothing about this...

I don't think so, but if someone else could confirm this? We definitely won last year or the year before (we definitely had to fit that cup into our closet of an office... I remember the struggle of finding somewhere to put it).

According to Cliff Murphy, Health Science won 2007-- that was the Sexy Mac year. So good.
I don't remember 2008 though.

Taunton says thanks to ferreinm for this post.

Oh and I think Casey was planner last year-- so obviously health sci won again.

So science hasn't won in three years, at least.

Thanks, I'm conversing with last year's Science President (and my colleague on SRA this year) Aaron Wade.

We didn't win the Faculty Cup in the last two years, my mistake. The trophy I remember having was the Spirit Cup from Frost Week!
