the "Muslim Brotherhood" should have been in power instead. But people wanted Americanism and they got a taste of it.

The thing is, for the first 10 or so years of his rule, he was pretty active. In addition to the fact that he was appointed vice president by El-Sadat due to his contributions in the wars against Israel as a pilot. People liked him back then. Then power just got to him, or maybe were just fooled this entire time. Who knows.
No one, not even Muslims, wants the Muslim brotherhood in power. Even when (not if) Mubarak leaves, no one will vote for them come election time. We don't extremists (although not all of them are extremists) running our country. We've seen how the Taliban was in Afghanistan and how Iran is like. People just want someone who will actually fulfill his promises, they really just want change and a better life. It's not all that much. But he just doesn't get it -____-
