Kin 1 Year Electives
Hey Guys,

I am going to be a KIN student soon (YAY!) and I needed some help with selecting my electives. I am looking to go to Medical School in the future and so I was looking into the requirements that various Medical Schools have in terms of courses. Since I only get 4 electives per year, I was wondering how I could manage to fulfill all of them.
As of now this is where I stand in terms of what I think I should do with my electives:

Cellular and Molecular Biology - Biology 1A03
Introductory Chemistry I and II - Chem 1A03 AND Chem 1AA3

After that I am somewhat stuck. Here are some of the other courses that I think I should be taking:

Mechanics and Waves - Physics 1B03
Modern Physics for Life Sciences - Physics 1BB3
Calculus for Life Sciences I and II - Math 1LS3 AND Math 1LT3

I am willing to do summer school and/or move courses into second year. But then I also want to take social science or english courses in the future. Do you have any advice to offer me?

Thank YOU guys in advance

Math 1LS3 is fine, you don't need 1LT3.

1B03 + 1BB3 in the summer is quite manageable. You may also want to consider taking your two Englishes during the summer. You should take Bio 1M03 as well at some point for schools that require a full year of bio.

Yep. That's what I did. Physics 1L03 as well.

OKAY .. btw thank you so much for the help and quick replies

I have...

my 6 kin courses

1st Sem: Cell Bio, Chem 1
2nd Sem: Chem 2, Math

Summer: Two Physics, English (possibly two)

Year 2: Bio 1M03 (I hate ecology so is this course really needed for med school or the mcats, can I take another bio course instead?)

Sounds good.

And if you can find one that doesn't require 1M03 and has labs you can. And yes Bio 1M03 is really boring.

No. Just make sure to balance your life and studying. You're first year is actually very similar to a lot of Kin students.
