Econ 1B03
Econ 1B03 is all about Microeconomics, unlike Econ 1BB3 which is about the opposite, Macroeconomics. Check out my review for that here.
In essence, you'll be learning about how the economy affects individual businesses...

What do you suggest? Should I just take 2 econs or take the harder math?
Thanks

I personally wouldn't take Math 1AA3 if you don't need it as a prerequisite (You aren't going to take upper year math courses) or you don't like math.
Take which ever course you like (in terms of material) instead. You'll most likely do better in that class.

I really like Economics (I am in Health Sci Faculty), so I want to do a minor in econ.
But, someone stated in the forum before that taking both in the same semester is too hard.
I am also planning to Math 1AA3 in summer for Med School. So do you think I should just take something else and drop Macro?

If you need Math 1AA3 then you should take it. If I were you my priority would be graduate school then a minor. You can always attempt you finish your minor but you don't want to stay a year back because you don't have your requirements for graduate school.

How to get a 12 in 1B03.
1) Get the full notes. Study them before a test
2) Bum the secret bonus quesiton answers off your friends who went to class
3) Get perfect on the early assignments.
4) Check Learnlink for previous tests, she reuses a lot of questions
5) Practice the Math based questions
Easy enough.

You can get it online for cheaper. I guess it depends on your preference for print/online media.
You really don't need the book for 1B03 though.

Is there any difference in the content of the online book vs the actual textbook?

It was $57 US so they convert it to CD (depending on the exchange rate so CD may have been very weak at the time so they charged me more). Also you get an online copy of the textbook and then the access the the aplia assignments as well. Its still cheaper than buying the textbook package.

Aplia code, which is what you buy online or the code the comes with the textbook, is only usable once and it last only for 1 term.

I wish they didn't use Aplioa. The large majority of the stuff done on Aplia could have been done on webct/ELM
