Kinesiology 1A03/1Y03
Okie dokie, I'm a first year Kinesiology student, and I'm forced to take this course, and it is the best course that I've ever been forced to take. No question.
You start with Dr. Parise, who is far and away my favorite prof I've had this semester. You start with embryology and...

I would definitely recommend buying the textbook. Test/exam questions are only taken from lectures, but the there are recommended readings in the text, and it reinforces what you learn in class. The quality of the pictures in incredible, which is really helpful for memorizing body parts, etc. It is expensive, but you can use it for both semesters.

I don't know anyone who bought the colouring book, so I can't comment on that, sorry.
I'd like to add though, that the textbook is over 1200 pages long. And if you want to judge the value of the text, consider that the Anatomy text is the one book that most Kin students keep for all 4 years.

Is anyone else considering dropping the course? I won't have a chance to take this course again in my upper years - no room for electives :( so I'm trying desperately to get in this year =P
It'd be much appreciated if anyone lets me know!

A few people mentionned that it opened up during the first few days of SOLAR's re-opening, so I would suggest checking a lot, hopefully one time!

Ye keep trying, I got KIN 1Y03 at like 11:56 am or something after waiting 15.5 hrs of SOLAR being constantly unavailable on Aug 13. Your a 2nd year student, you could have gotten the course earlier since 2nd year students select courses before 1st year students. Keep trying, im pretty sure it might open up by the time school starts or even the first few weeks of school. I'm pretty sure some ppl will drop when they find out they have weekly quizzes on FRIDAY which cover quite a lot of information.

That's true, however not all the seats are open for upper years. The course is so popular that a lot of upper years want to take the course.

Yeah, so they can only see it up to a certain point (until all those seats are taken) after that, it shows up as FULL even if it isn't really full yet.
