Don't be intimidated by the profs/TA's, ask questions, raise your hands in class (seems obvious) but you would be surprised at how many students don't do this, try staying caught up with readings from day one, once you fall off track its hard to get back on, review notes daily, get help taking notes if you are not a good note taker!!

i wish i knew that you can check you meal plan status online.. because near the end of the year when you reach 0 on your card you realized how much you've spent.. food brought from home is great.. i didn't do much cooking on campus at all.. my pots and pans kinda just sat there in my room

hmm, good question, first piece of advice: always always go to dollar store first when you need anything, you won't believe how much you'll save lol and 2nd: stay on top of your readings, you can't imagine how easily you'll fall behind

The most important thing in uni life is to learn to manage your time wisely. If you know when to study hard and when to party hard your good to go. Just don't get carried away. Be focused and you will be allrite.

Make use of your career advisers and join clubs! Its a great way to learn what you're interested in and increasing your network.

living off campus, even in first year, is the way to go.
